DoerTV Video SEO on the Changes in Media – YouTube.
This segment of The Business Spotlight is one of five shows that will be addressing the changes in media within our lifetime, and how we can use these changes to improve our lives, and our businesses.
Louis Estrada, managing partner of ES Creative Gang, has worked in many genres within media, and with so many professionals all over the world, especially in Latin America, to help give birth to whole networks. Louis is Patrick Dougher’s guest for this segment of The Business Spotlight, a television show in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that uses various media to showcase businesses, and brings tips, news and relevant information for viewers all across the country.
Once, not too long ago but within the lifetimes of baby boomers, there were only three basic television channels. Radios and newspapers were popular, and there were no computers or internet. Things have shifted over the years, but media has not become extinct, but exploded into many different areas that are able to connect us all over the world.
According to Louis, the changes in media continue to evolve. “Just last week Netflix reached a milestone of over 50 million subscribers…Their biggest challenge now is the way that it gets there. Their biggest fight is actually with the people who provide the internet for all of us – Time Warner, AT&T, Verizon, etc. because they are fighting against their competitor, and their competitor is actually the one giving them the internet service.”
“It’s interesting because their competitors are actually relying on their competitors to give them the service to get their product out,” he says. “So the competitive landscape has become very exciting.”
We are self-centered, and we want it NOW. Speed is actually noticeable to some people. Information is king, it has always been king. Translate that into business and marketing and you want information NOW. You need to distinguish yourself from everyone else who is doing what you do.
Everyone has a website. Media, which now includes video, is how we get the message out and has always been the most powerful way to get your message out – with movies, with moving pictures and music, etc.
Business owners are not including in their message moving images, and video, because they think it is too expensive, and it’s not. “Like everything else, technology has brought it to a point where it is affordable. The only thing you have to do is tell it in a story, and tell it in a compelling way,” says Louis.
