Bob Bare is the founder of the “More Power to Publish, Monetize Your Mind” Workshop.” He is a multiple-business entrepreneur, speaker, author and publisher in his own right. Bare works to help other authors and speakers “monetize” their talents in order to become successful.
Lucinda is considered to be an expert on LinkedIn and LinkedIn etiquette. She helps to give clients a professional perspective, and strategize their professional LinkedIn social media presence.
“In order to get noticed by the right people you need to build a professional presence,” says Bare. Your LinkedIn profile creates what he says is “like a first impression. Just as you would dress for success,” he says, “you want to put your best foot forward.” He likens the experience to going to a nice restaurant and using the correct manners and utensils – the “proper etiquette,” so to speak.
Your LinkedIn profile is your presence; it projects you to other readers, writers, and publishers. “There is a professional LinkedIn etiquette that you follow,” Ruch says. “You recognize those who really have their act together and present that professional persona – just like they would for their book or for their public speaking. It’s great when you see it, and you know it. They stand out.” These are the people other professionals want to do business with. “You have to stand out, you have to be noticed, and that professionalism will show,” says Ruch.
