Family Law Is Becoming More Collaborative
Jeffrey Stewart of G & G Law in Southlake TX on Family Law – YouTube.
Patrick Dougher, host of The Business Spotlight, is speaking with Jeffrey Stewart of the Galloway & Gilliand Law Firm in Southlake, TX about family law, and how it has changed and become a more collaborative process.
According to Jeffrey, he enjoys Family Law because it is not the same every day – every family is different, every family has different needs, etc. It depends on which client contacts him as to who he deals with within the family.
Jeffrey has been pointed out in the Dallas area as a rising star in the legal sector. His method of practicing family law is not to go into court and battle it out when it comes to divorce or child custody, but to sit down and discuss how they can all work together to benefit everyone.
He still advocates for his client, and still represents them in the process to achieve their personal goals, but he still helps to educate his client through the process, helps them go through the process, and to understand what the other side is feeling and going through as well. Especially when children are involved, a divorce does not have to be parents fighting for custody of their children against each other, but working together to benefit the children and help them get through it as well.
The client ultimately makes the decision, but the lawyers job is to help them to look at all aspects of the situation, especially what is best for the children. With mediation and settlement, you don’t always have to go by the state guidelines. Everything is not black and white, there is always a gray area, so even the court has to adopt a schedule that will work best for everyone.
You can contact Jeffrey through the firm’s website: www.SouthLakeLaw.com, or by calling 817-591-0490.

Plug and Play LED Light Replacements
Patrick Dougher of The Business Spotlight speaks with Dale Swope, Michael Howard, and Gunner Thelander of Pure Bright Lighting about their innovative, plug and play LED light replacement products.
Recent legislation is requiring that old incandescent and fluorescent lighting is to be phased out and replaced with LED lighting. Pure Bright Lighting is an “enlightened” company that has found a way to bring this transition around without the added expense of total replacement of fixtures, and 100% environmentally friendly!
Currently targeting commercial, industrial buildings and institutions, Pure Bright Lighting’s state-of-the-art LED (Light Emitting Diode) products contain no mercury or hazardous waste products, and they do not require special handling when you dispose of their lights – “It is plug-and-play and when you are done with it you just simply throw it away,” says Howard. Other products need to be disposed of as hazardous waste, and there are all sorts of state and local regulations that have be addressed, says Swope. With these innovative plug and play LED light products, there is no need to worry about all this red tape.
Currently Pure Bright Lighting is the only company producing these types of products, and not only have they been able to beat their competitors in environmental issues, but in pricing and savings to the consumer.
Pure Bright Lighting is run by a small group of people within the United States. Their production arm is through a partnership with Fujitzu, a billion dollar multinational electrical manufacturing corporation.
All plug and play LED light products have been test-marketed on all the BP Oil Company’s rigs, and have had 100% success from it, with more orders.
All products are protected by a 3-year warranty, and guaranteed replacement policy. Their product lines have over 5 years of engineering development, and are built in ISO-9001 compliant facilities.
LED lights use 85% less energy than standard, high-pressure sodium lamps, and 90% less than conventional incandescent lights. LEDs are solid state lamps that contain no filament, nor inert gas as found in traditional fluorescent and sodium lighting.
The savings in electricity reduction between LED and legacy lighting is generally accepted at about 80% to 85%. This results in unprecedented savings in electricity bills, not to mention LED’s new dimension in environmental-friendliness and maintenance reduction costs, as well.
The life span of LED lighting is approximately 50,000 hours minimum, with loss of no more than 30 percent of luminous flux, and is designed to integrate seamlessly with existing lighting fixtures.

“Marketing is really about getting your doors swinging and your phones ringing…that is is, results, results, results,” and that is Patrick’s motto. Patrick has over 20 years of professional selling experience; 10 years directing a self-improvement seminar called The Road Adventure; a year as one of Zig Ziglar’s presenters; two years as director for Dan Kennedy’s Insider Circle Groups; formed and ran several mastermind groups. His passion is to help others reach their potential. Zig Ziglar always said, “You can have everything in life you want if you can help enough other people get what they want.” According to Joyce, she knows first hand Patrick is a very nurturing person who wants everyone to succeed.
According to Patrick, most entrepreneurs did not start out with the idea to start their own business. Most of them had a push, like getting fired or downsized. Many had to recreate themselves. They knew they wanted more, but didn’t know how to create it, and then the “universe” helped them make the choice by changing their circumstances. In addition, most entrepreneurs don’t have a lot of money to market themselves. For this reason, Patrick came up with his Marketing Without Money program.
“As your influence grows, so does your affluence.”
The beginning of Marketing Without Money, look around you and see if you can find someone to help you create what you want. Connect through social networks like Facebook and LinkedIn. Some of us have to purchase our “wisdom,” like on radio and television shows, while others have to look around to see what they can get from their circle of influence.
Give first, but have hooks.
Give first, like giving coupons, ebooks, connections, etc. that can be hooked back to you, your website, your company, etc. Make it a win-win situation that helps others as well as yourself.
Have a specific target audience
“Find out where your ideal client likes to play, and get in that playground.” Use Google Adword Tools to kind the correct keywords to use that are good for your company, and this way you can target your specific client list or locale through the keywords. Utilize social media like Facebook and Pinterest (visual selection) that you can target your specific market for your business. Find out where they hang out and what social events are in your target client area and go to them.
Share properly – from your website out to social media. Create content and repurpose everything you find
Learn how to take your content and share it on other social media – blog, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.
Use Google Tools
Video is king, but it’s about Google. Make everything Google friendly if you want to get noticed. “If you want Google’s love you have to play with it’s toys,” says Patrick.
Learn how to speak effectively
Join Toastmasters, speak in front of clubs and groups – especially those that video their programs.
Create a mastermind group you can collaborate
It’s all about networking – networking with others in your field, network with clients so they can recommend you to other clients, mastermind so you can learn new tricks and methods to enhance and grow your business.

S.W.E.A.T Wellness and Nutrition on The Business Spotlight
Personal speed and agility trainer Ray Edwards, one of the world’s fastest men, joins Patrick Dougher, host of The Business Spotlight, and business owner and president Brandon Parraway, to talk about their new and innovative health and wellness venture – S.W.E.A.T Wellness and Nutrition out of Irving, Texas.
At the end of the day, if you don’t have your health your quality of life is lowered. The main focus at S.W.E.A.T is on health and how to be healthy. They not only offer speed and agility training, but education on health and wellness. They want to teach people a new lifestyle of health and being healthy, and they are providing education as well as training on how to do that. Their operation is not money based – it is educational based. Their focus is NOT to make money, but teach you how to healthy for a lifetime.
Part of S.W.E.A.T’s programming consists of a boot camp, unlike any other. It encompasses health, nutrition, speed, balance and agility. You need everything to function, just alike a car. The camp runs Monday through Friday, and is open to the general public from ages 7 – 70. They also work with professional athletes, like boxing champion Hector Vasquez.
You don’t necessarily have to go to a gym to get healthy or fit. You certainly don’t have to be a professional athlete, or even a fitness buff. The object is to get the whole body moving. You can work out anywhere, and unique to them, S.W.E.A.T holds classes in their gym, the park, at your work, even in your home. They can come to you, or you can go to them.
Ray’s passion is kids. He says it’s a whole lot easier to mold people when they are young and agile – they aren’t afraid to work out or eat healthier. Starting early gets you going on a road to healthy lifestyle. For this reason they encourage children and family participation. If the entire family participates you have a support system, and when they all work together for a common goal there is no one to sabotage what they are doing. It also encourages better meal planning and communication.
Programs for corporate wellness are available. They encourage business to offer a program for their employees in order for them to be healthier and more productive, and a larger group allows them to educate more people, who take what they have learned home to their families and spread the idea of a healthy lifestyle.
Owner Brandon Parraway, himself a certified personal trainer, is an entrepreneur with vision, always looking for more ways to help people and address issues across the board – financially and educationally. He wants people to become part of the family. He attributes the key to his success in how he was raised. He is more of a success-driven person than money driven, and cares about the people he works with, and for, by putting himself in their place.
How often should someone work out with a trainer? Ray recommends beginners work out no more than twice a week. “You don’t need to shock the body, at least when you’re just starting out.” Those who are professional athletes, or who are used to training, will of course work more often. Professional athletes need to continue to keep up their strength and conditioning training in order to be successful. They need to keep their body in balance.
Don’t think it’s too expensive, or be too scared to go inside. Don’t feel intimidated. It’s never too late to start becoming more healthy, and they are there to help you.S.W.E.A.T offers a variety of other services and programs that are certain to meet the needs of almost anyone, and their staff is certified and well trained.Just give them a call, or visit their website – http://www.RealSweat.net to find out more about their program and facilities.
