7 Keys for Marketing Without Money
Most entrepreneurs find themselves financially challenged when they first start out, and having a large budget for outsourcing marketing is not usually available. Marketing is essential for any business, but the rules are constantly changing, and trying to do it alone without direction can be daunting, if not impossible. Because of this, most entrepreneurs are seeking to understand and market their business as economically as possible.
If you are one of these businesses, you may be interested in the program “7 Keys for Marketing Without Money,” presented by Patrick Dougher of The Business Network and DoerExperts.TV, along with his guest host, Judy Hoberman of “SellingInASkirt.com.”
In this presentation, the duo outline the seven key steps essential to market your brand and increase your traffic and revenue.
- Find the right people to bring along with you to network and collaborate with
- Give first, but make sure your giving also is open to receiving (have Velcro)
- Have a specific target audience
- Share properly – from your website out to social media. Create content and repurpose everything you find
- Video is king, but it’s about Google. Make everything Google friendly if you want to get noticed. “If you want Google’s love you have to play with it’s toys,” says Patrick.
- Learn how to speak effectively. Join Toastmasters, speak in front of clubs and groups – especially those that video their programs.
- Create a mastermind group you can collaborate with

Marketing Guru Discusses Successful Digital Marketing Campaign

Dave Swift, also known as the Marketing Guru, appears on The Business Spotlight, DoerTV, to speak with host Patrick Dougher to discuss a case study of a success digital marketing campaign that Dave helped to launch with Dallas Laser Dental. With his help they received the 2011, 2012 and 2013 Consumer Choice Award in Cosmetic Dentistry.
Although this particular dentist office is not his only client, it is a great example of what Dave Swift can do to make your business come alive through social media and a digital marketing campaign. It shows how marketing can bring the customers in, through social media and the internet, and how the effects of successful marketing trickles down to excellent customer service and follow through, as well as professional and knowledgeable staff to work with.
A strategic planning was necessary, with all parties taking part, to move their marketing along and grow as social media and digital marketing grows. In addition, they remained SEO friendly, and utilized Google +, YouTube, Yahoo maps, and other search engine formats that would interlink with their websites (three main ones, with smaller sites geared for specific treatments within the practice and linking back to the main sites) for educational and conversion purposes.
Another thing that worked for them was to receive reviews and feedback from clients and visitors, and having the staff follow up with them. Repurposing the content by having them link to other associated pages also was a bonus.

Social Media and Video Marketing Case Study with Dave Swift

Video helps you to portray an image of your brand – here is my brand, here is what I want to accomplish, directly to your audience.
Old-time marketing started with a strategic plan. It used to start with a website, and created optimized SEO, which means we knew what services we wanted to promote according to the landing pages and keywords that were supposed to engage the clients.
As an example of digital marketing, Dave used his client Dallas Laser Dentistry as a case study, which has won awards over 2011, 2012 and 2013 Consumer Awards in Dentistry. Specifically, when he launched the website several years ago he decided to go with the detail terms SEO and it was effective. From there he went to email marketing, and drift campaigning, and looked at each branch of service and what worked. They then went on to newsletters (digital because they could avoid the cost of printing).
When YouTube came out and they used educational videos that linked back to their website. They then developed websites that were service specific, educating people in specific areas of dentistry – all linking back to three main websites.
Dallas Laser Dentistry committed to a long term marketing plan with Dave, and moved from the old mainstream marketing plan to digital, and it paid off exceptionally well for them.
The interaction has been tremendous between clients, potential clients and the staff through social media. They used Facebook advertising, and hired people to do content and knew what the target audience was looking for. It was an evolving thing.
They watched the evolving demographics of social media before they even got onto Facebook, and now the demographics are what they are looking for in cosmetic dentistry. They also worked with Google + and Google maps, by claiming your page, in order to target their geographic area and demographics – and it doesn’t cost you much at all.
What they discovered that the more they used Google and it’s affiliates, and Yahoo and their maps and services, the higher their ranking went with their website.
Another thing that worked for them was to receive reviews and feedback from clients and visitors, and having the staff follow up with them. Repurposing the content by having them link to other associated pages also was a bonus.

Dave Swift returns to The Business Spotlight to speak with host Patrick Dougher on the importance of digital and video marketing for your business
Blogs are to be meaningful and engaging as well. If you have something to offer, that is meaningful and helpful (not a sales pitch), that engages others definitely works.
Don’t just have a blog that points to Facebook and Twitter – the audience on each of these social media platforms is different.
Visuals are the most powerful – either a static picture or video. Video marketing goes a long way, and holds a person on your site, and the longer a person is on your page the better for your stats.
Re-marketing is something else you need to learn at. You present people with content that keeps popping up and in their face, and eventually they will take notice. Essentially it is a banner ad that keeps talking to you wherever you go.

Marketing Without Money For The Entrepreneur On A Budget
Like most entrepreneurs, they started your business with someone telling you “You’re Fired.” Others make the choice to leave their “safe” position because they realize they are not in the right place at the right time. They decided to make it on their own, and started with an idea, but you don’t really know all that it takes to get started. What are some things anyone can do to get started?
Patrick Dougher came up with the idea to mastermind with other entrepreneurs in order to put Marketing Without Money for the entrepreneur together. This segment of Marketing without Money involves masterminding with Judy Hoberman, CEO of Selling InASkirt.com.
When you work for yourself you have to rely on your own skills, and expertise, but it does not always contain financing a marketing plan. The idea of Marketing without Money is to find ways in order to cross market and find your niche in order to market your business without a large budge to work with.

Marketing Without Money – Be Intentional In Your Networking
Marketing Without Money Key Give First But Have Hooks – YouTube.
Patrick Dougher came up with the idea to mastermind with other entrepreneurs in order to put together informational marketing help videos titled Marketing Without Money. This segment of The Business Spotlight TV show advises entrepreneurs to be intentional in your networking. Judy Hoberman, CEO of Selling InASkirt.com is the guest host.
When you market you utilize as many avenues as possible. This includes hiring professionals or networking with others who are successful in networking. Networking is your best source of information, but you have to be intentional in your networking. Just as you had to work to get the experience you have, and you probably were paid for your time when you were working for someone else, you have to be conscious of the fact that others have too, and you can’t expect to get all your help for free, any more than they can.
You have to also be careful, if you are a professional, that others are not trying to pick your brain without paying you for your information. It’s fine to help people out sometimes, but don’t make it a habit. Your time is valuable too, keep that in mind.

Marketing Without Money – Learn How To Target Yourself Properly
Marketing Without Money Key Target Your Message – YouTube.

This segment of The Business Spotlight TV show advises entrepreneurs to learn how to target yourself properly in order to get the people you are aiming your message toward. You HAVE TO BE PASSIONATE ABOUT WHAT YOU ARE DOING. Do market research first, and see where the problem is that you can solve in the area you want to work in. There is a niche that you must target, and don’t just go under a broad umbrella. In order to be successful you must find that unique niche for you.
When you are more exclusive, people want to work with you – but you must be accessible. Therefore, you must learn how to target yourself properly.
